We are excited to announce that for the first time, Concerts in Care will take musicians on tour!
We will visit rural and more remote communities in Ontario outside of major centres where professional musicians and concert activities happen on a regular basis.
In June, a quartet from the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra will take their music to Manitoulin Island, Elliott Lake, and points between.
In July, musicians from the North Bay Symphony Orchestra will travel to Deep River, Temagami, and other smaller communities.
We thank our SPAN – Seniors’ Programming Advisory Network, for urging us to reach out to seniors in these rural communities. And we thank the Canada Council for the Arts for funding our tours.
