Zoom Concerts & Conversations

Zoom Concerts & Conversations have been a constant source of great music and great fun since 2020. Providing live performances and real time conversations between seniors and artists over Zoom has created joy and relief for everyone.

In that year of Covid, Her Honour Elizabeth Dowdeswell, then Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario, asked Concerts in Care Ontario to facilitate a series of “visits” to long-term care homes across the province, bringing musicians along, so that she could check on the wellbeing of Ontario seniors in care.

In response, we developed the format that still works today: Introduction, 20-25 minutes of music, Live Q & A, another 20 minutes of music, thank yous and goodbyes.

We produced 14 Zoom concerts with our Lieutenant-Governor, and we have produced more than 250 of these up-close-and personal concerts.

Audience members can see the performers and their instruments up close, talk to them live and in real time, and enjoy a wide variety of top-notch music from their own living rooms, kitchens, or congregate setting lounges. We even have people listening over the phone when they don’t have devices to access the visuals.

When are Zoom Concerts & Conversations scheduled?

Every other Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 pm
