Fiddling to the audience

Marquise Hospitality

Specializing in warm, caring experiences… like our concerts!

Magic happened after a Marquise Hospitality senior executive had a vision of providing beautiful music for his clientele in seniors’ homes, and then a fellow executive attended a Sienna for Seniors Foundation gathering where an amazing cello duo from Concerts in Care Ontario (CiCO) was performing.

In late July, CiCO was contacted by the Marquise team, who were so delighted to hear that sponsoring a concert is affordable, they ordered ELEVEN! As a result, eleven lucky facilities, the majority outside the GTA, received the gift of a live, in-person concert through the generosity of one of their most excellent suppliers. Concerts in Care programmed music that included the best jazz duos, Celtic and country fiddle and step dancing, classical piano and strings, a great nostalgia singer and pianist duo, and even an Oktoberfest trio!

Guitar and saxophone

More than 500 seniors and health care staff experienced the excitement, respite, social connection, and sense of community that Concerts in Care musicians bring to every concert.

The homes were thrilled, as this joyful note from Extendicare Brampton demonstrates:

On behalf of Extendicare Brampton residents, thank you so much for a wonderful concert! The residents truly enjoyed it. If I want to book future concerts how do we go about it? Also, who can we thank at Marquise Hospitality?

Thanks again,
Maria Rojas, Programs Manager

We must call out Sienna for Seniors Foundation again, this time for “Empowering Moments of Joy for Seniors” through the goodwill and shared vision of one of their business partners.

Huge gratitude to Marquise Hospitality for staying true to its warm and caring culture, for having imagination and taking action to make these concerts possible.
