When we arrived to set up, many of the residents were loud and irritated and people were shouting at each other continuously. It was chaos.
But as soon as we started playing, the room quieted down as though we had cast a spell on the residents. Staff members commented to us saying “your music is the healing solution”.
The “Birthday Girl’s” son brought her right up to us in her wheelchair and we played happy birthday for her. Although she doesn’t speak, we could see how her eyes lit up.

The performance was a real gem! Beautiful, considered, well done! I LOVED it, and more importantly, the staff & residents on the unit enjoyed it too. They played “Happy Birthday” for my mom too. A real find. Hoping this drums them up more business at Cummer. Such a nice change of pace. So happy all around. You were a pleasure to do business with. Thank you so much for adding this special touch to my mother’s special day.
