On May 5, Concerts in Care Ontario presented our first ticketed event at Hugh’s Room, featuring the virtuosic, wildly clever, and highly entertaining Schmaltz and Pepper, together with the Myriade String Quartet and pianist Andrew Burashko performing Schumann and Debussy.
The program was superlative, the performances prompted standing ovations, and the audience itself had a fantastic vibe. We received terrific feedback on the musicians, the venue, and the feeling in the room.
There is great momentum to do it again. Hugh’s Room is eager to have us back, and with their new accessibility project wrapping up in September, we will be able to include all of our invited guests next spring.
Not only was it a fabulous musical evening, but we generated $12.4K in net proceeds.
Results like this definitely demand an encore!
