
Andrew Burashko founded Art of Time Ensemble in 1998. Since then he and Art of Time have been on the cutting edge of the performing arts in Canada, fusing music with theatre, dance, film and literature in unique and unprecedented ways. Over 25 years, Art of Time commissioned over 300 works of music, dance, text and film from Canadian artists; performed over 400 concerts throughout North America and Europe; and collaborated with over 350 artists. The list of illustrious artists who have collaborated with Art of Time includes Margaret Atwood, Peggy Baker, Brent Carver, Barbara Hannigan, Branford Marsalis, Michael Ondaatje, Madeleine Péyroux, Jackie Richardson and many others.
Before founding Art of Time Ensemble, Andrew Burashko had established himself as one of Canada’s foremost concert pianists, performing under the batons of some of the world’s leading conductors such as Marin Alsop, Sir Andrew Davis, Yannick Nezet-Seguin, Jukka-Pekka Saraste and Pinchas Zukerman among many others. He was also involved in a 20-year long collaboration with renowned contemporary dancer, Peggy Baker. As a duo, they performed to acclaim around the world.
