Put a little ZOOM in our music!

Put a little ZOOM in our music!

Every other Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 pm, a special Concerts in Care community gathers for a LIVE, IN-PERSON, and INTERACTIVE concert, with a visit, too.

Members of Seniors’ Active Living Centres who live at home alone or in small group settings, and seniors in care facilities in smaller towns or off the beaten path, or those who have outbreaks and cannot have us in person, all click HERE in their emails and enter the concert space.

They talk with each other, ask questions, listen to the music, talk to the musicians, and applaud. We laugh, we share amazement, and we have FUN! – all over Zoom.

Some of our attendees have been joining in since February 2021, when we were funded by Ontario Trillium Foundation to continue the series initiated by Her Honour, Elizabeth Dowdeswell, the Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario so that she could visit seniors living in long-term care during Covid. Since then the Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility and Ontario Arts Council have supported us, but we are between funding cycles at the moment, and

We have done more than 200 of these energizing, eclectic concerts since July 2020, and we cannot let this audience go. Most of them have few resources to spare even for this concert-hall quality music.

Can you help?

For just $150, you can sponsor a solo musician to perform in our Zoom Series.

For $300, a duo, and $450 means a trio.

To sponsor a Zoom “TV” series, a season of 8 concerts, it costs just $2,000.

Make a difference in the lives of the elderly who cannot experience in-person concerts, but who love libe music.

We are open to suggestions! Call Debra Chandler, Executive Director, at 416-571-6170.
